Ebola: What do we know?

The Department of Tropical Medicine, Medical Microbiology and Pharmacology is hosting a colloquium about the ebola virus disease at noon on Wednesday, September 17 in Room 315 of the John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) Room 315.

The colloquium will include a presentation by Dr. John Berestecky (Professor of Microbiology at Kapi`olani Community College), who recently returned from on-the-ground work in Liberia. His talk is titled, "Personal Perspectives on My Work in Liberia during the time of Ebola".

"Hope for the best, plan for the worst" is the presentation planned by Dr. Erlaine Bello, JABSOM Associate Professor of Medicine and Chair of the Infection Prevention and Control Committee at The Queen's Medical Center.

Dr. Axel Lehrer, JABSOM Assistant Professor of Tropical Medicine will begin the session with an overview of the Ebola Virus Disease and his work with the virus.
