Please join NÄ HawaiÊ»i Ê»Imi Loa, Laka me Lono Resource Center and the Library and Information Science Program at the University of HawaiÊ»i at MÄnoa for HoÊ»okele NaÊ»auao: A Hawaiian Librarianship Symposium 2014, taking place on Thursday, October 23 from 8am to 5pm. The symposium will focus on Hawaiian stewardship practices in information centers.
The symposium will feature a special presentation of Princess Ruth KeÊ»elikÅlani's kapa, on behalf of the Preservation Department of Hamilton Library. The symposium will also host three discussion panels: 1) Hawaiian Methodologies, 2) Preserving Our Culture, 3) Digital Preservation. Attendence to the symposium is free and open to the public.
