Entrepreneurship Live: From a Chocolate Obsession to a Business

February 22, 5:00pm - 6:30pm
Mānoa Campus, iLab (Building 37, between Art and Kuykendall)

The Pacific Asian Center for Entrepreneurship (PACE) and Hawaii Student Entrepreneurs invites students to the first Entrepreneurship Live event of the spring 2016 semester.

About the Speaker:
UH graduate Erin Kanno Uehara is the co-owner of Choco le‘a, a gourmet chocolate company that creates fresh artisan dark chocolate truffles and treats in a wide assortment of flavors including red velvet, yuzu and lychee liqueur. Erin grew up loving chocolate and never thought she would one day own a chocolate company until she serendipitously met long lost relatives who taught her the craft. Soon after, Erin and her husband joined the family business and began the wholesale and retail arms of the company. The popularity of their truffles quickly grew, and today their clientele includes the likes of Neiman Marcus, the Royal Hawaiian Hotel and Moana Surfrider Hotel. Erin will share her entrepreneurial journey and the challenges of maintaining work-life balance.

These speaker series events are FREE to UH students, and made possible by First Insurance Company of Hawaii.
