Convocation 2016 for MDs

May 15, 9:00am - 11:00am
Mānoa Campus, Kennedy Theater

Loved ones present lei and bask in the warmth of unbridled joy and heartfelt pride as members of the John A. Burns School of Medicine MD Class of 2016 are welcomed into the practice of medicine, as full-fledged medical doctors.

This July, they begin working as “MD residents” around Hawaiʻi and the U.S. mainland, for two to eight years of supervised practice, as they earn licensure and board certifications.

But for Convocation Day, our newest MDs just soak it in, and enjoy the magical feelings family, friends and an awesome achievement can concoct. Congratulations, MD Class of 2016!

Our keynote speaker is Vivian S. Lee, M.D., Ph.D., M.B.A. She is the Senior Vice President, University Health Sciences, CEO, University of Utah Health Care, and Dean of the University of Utah School of Medicine.
