Hawai‘i's Environmental Court: A Global Judicial Model Arises

The third of four Sakamaki Extraordinary Lectures will be by Associate Justice Michael Wilson, who will speak on Hawaii's Environmental Court: A Global Judicial Model Arises from Earth's Ideal Environment.

Justice Wilson was appointed to the Hawai‘i Supreme Court in April 2014 after serving as a judge of the Circuit Court of the First Circuit since May 2000. Prior to his appointment, Justice Wilson was the director of the Department of Land and Natural Resources, Chair of the Board of Land and Natural Resources, Chair of the State Water Commission, and a Trustee of the Kaho‘olawe Island Reserve Commission. He was awarded a lifetime membership in the Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies in 1999.
