Arbor Day Tree Giveaway

Volunteers and staff at CTAHR's Urban Garden Center in Pearl City are partnering with Hawaiian Electric and Kaulunani Urban and Community Forestry Program to give away a variety of popular trees and shrubs on Saturday, November 5, at six sites across O‘ahu.

You can select from a variety of popular plants, including native plants, fruit trees, and flowering shrubs. Arborists and master gardeners will be on hand to answer your gardening questions, and you will receive a tree-planting guide.

Pick up your free plant—one per family, while supplies last—at the following locations and times. Be sure to arrive early to avoid going home empty-handed!

Wai‘anae: Hawaiian Electric Kahe Power Plant – 7 a.m.
Pearl City: UH Urban Garden Center – 7 a.m.
Honolulu: McKinley High/Community School for Adults – 7 a.m.
Kailua: Hawaiian Electric Koolau Base Yard – 7 a.m.
Wahiawā: Wahiawa Botanical Garden – 9 a.m. Haleiwa: Waimea Valley – 9 a.m.
