November 2, 12:00pm - 1:30pm
Mānoa Campus, Sakamaki Hall A201

Prof Sumner La Croix explores land speculation in the new British colony of South Australia in the 1830s. Did such speculations and investments pay off? What models help us better understand why certain decisions were made and whether those decisions were profitable, or not. Over 400 Brits invested in this far away colony, of which very little was known at the time. Please join us for this free, public lecture and discussion.
