Harry Tsuchidana (b. 1932 Waipahu, O‘ahu) is one of Hawaii’s noted and prolific living artists. This exhibition features over 80 works on paper from the artist’s personal collection. While his paintings have received much-deserved attention in several solo and group exhibitions, this is only the second presentation that foregrounds his works on paper.

Rod Bengston, as curator, selected the works in this exhibition. In conversations with Tsuchidana, Bengston identitifed seventeen themes and expressions—some of which the artist returned to again throughout decades of his investigations.
