LDTC Closing Ceremony & Project Presentations

November 14, 6:00pm - 7:30pm
Mānoa Campus, KamakakÅ«okalani Center for Hawaiian Studies

The Language Documentation Training Center (LDTC) is a student-run organization housed in the Department of Linguistics that aims to train speakers of endangered languages to document their language and preserve it for future generations.

LDTC holds a series of eight workshops each semester that provide training to speakers of endangered languages and other interested participants in how to video and audio record speech events and other types of language documentation. The platform that LDTC has established encourages collaboration between linguists, community members, and others interested in advocating for communities who speak endangered, threatened, and/or marginalized languages.

The Closing Ceremony is a chance for our Language Experts this semester to showcase their work. Come join us to learn new things about their languages and cultures!
