GIS Skills for Hawaii (Using ArcGIS ArcMap)

June 3, 1:30pm - 4:30pm
Honolulu Campus, 874 Dillingham Blvd

GIS is an integral part of many organizations’ technology infrastructure. All over the world, organizations are using GIS to manage the environment, work more efficiently, provide better customer service, and save money.

This course uses Web-based materials and in-class exercises to introduce the fundamental concepts of GIS and the major functionality contained in ArcGIS software from Esri. It also covers how to download GIS data from the City and County of Honolulu and the State of Hawai‘i and how to combine that data with your own GIS data.

As you progress through the course, you'll acquire practical skills that you can use immediately. By the end of the course, you should feel comfortable working with ArcGIS software on your own.
