Biography as Performance

Ben Moffat will give a sneak preview of his one-person show, "Imperfect Gentlemen," that will play at The ARTS at Marks Garage Feb. 28, 29 and March 1. He will also talk about the impact his father's transition from male to transgender female in 1980 had on him and his family, as well as the process he uses to create 10 distinct characters.

Ben Moffat is a storyteller, actor, clown, puppeteer, stilt-walker and whatever else the job entails. He has performed nationally and internationally on his own and with Monkey Waterfall, a dance-theatre company he co-founded with Yukie Shiroma. He taught theatre and put on shows at Windward Community College from 1987 to 2011.
