Marc Gilbert, HPU Prof Emeritus, will discuss "The View from the Hill: Hawai'i's Congressional Delegation and the Struggle for Peace in Vietnam and Equity at Home, 1964-1975." Dr. Gilbert has published extensively on World History and the Histories of South Asia and Southeast Asia, and this talk is part of a book project on The Vietnam War in the Pacific World, forthcoming from the University of North Carolina Press.
