Lecture by Hong Kong Economic Trade Commissioner

UH Law School proudly hosts Hong Kong's Commissioner for Economic and Trade Affairs, Donald Tong, JP, who will present "Riding out the Economic Doldrums: The Hong Kong Story," a dynamic lecture on Hong Kong’s latest developments (after the reunification with the Mainland China in 1997), measures to stimulate the economic performance amid the global economic turmoil, as well as the trade relations with US and Hawai‘i. The event is on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 4 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Moot Courtroom, University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, William S. Richardson School of Law, 2515 Dole Street, Honolulu, HI 96822.
Being the most senior representative of Hong Kong in America, Commissioner Tong directs the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government's efforts in promoting US-Hong Kong economic and trade relationship, as well as constituency-building activities in the US. His base is in the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Washington DC, which maintains good working relations with the US administration and has a public relations role to explain what is happening in Hong Kong.
This event is free and open to the public. $4 Parking before 4pm in Zone 20 Parking Structure.
