This unique oriental art form called Sumi-e literally means ink painting. Learn the concepts and techniques of Japanese painting using simple color and limited details on rice paper. With practice of the basic techniques, the art of Sumi-e can bring enjoyment and pleasure. You will also learn to create holiday gifts. For those who want to create holiday gift items, there is an additional lab fee for these materials. Supplies needed: white ceramic dish (shallow), wash cloth and water well.
