Cultural Astronomy: The Moon

Nancy Ali is the Imaginarium Manager and an archaeoastronomy lecturer at Windward Community College. After becoming interested in cultural astronomy while working at the Bishop Museum, she designed and completed a unique master of education degree specializing in integrating astronomy and culture.
Each workshop will include lecture/discussion, hands-on activities and Imaginarium (planetarium) demonstrations.
Workshops are appropriate from ages 10 and up. The Moon: Unravel the mysteries behind the moon's changing phases. Make the connection between the moon's cycle and calendar systems from around the world, including Hawaii.
