This workshop will cover the natural history, cultivation and molecular systematics of the orchid subfamily Vanilloideae. Dr. Ken Cameron, former Director of the Molecular Systematics Laboratory at New York Botanical Garden for 10 years, and currently a Professor of Botany and the Director of Wisconsin State Herbarium. Dr. Cameron is considered the world authority on the systematics of the orchid subfamily Vanilloideae. His book Vanilla Orchids: Natural History and Cultivation was commissioned by Timber Press in 2011.
