Walk A Mile In Her Shoes® University of Hawai'i - West O'ahu

UHWO proudly presents Walk a Mile in Her Shoes®: The International Men's March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault & Gender Violence. A Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® Event is a playful opportunity for men to raise awareness in their community about the serious causes, effects and remediations to men's sexualized violence against women.

All men, who are UHWO students, UHWO staff/faculty, administration and community members are highly encouraged to join in on the walk.

The Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® Event will take place on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 in the Campus Courtyard, from 10:00am to 2:00pm. There are two walking opportunities:

  • 10:50am
  • 1:50pm

    Community resources such as the Domestic Violence Action Center and Sex Abuse Treatment Center will hold community booths. Student group-projects will also hold booths.

    To sign up for walk, visit us in front of campus dining and/or courtyard on the following days:

  • Monday, March 31, 9:00am-11:30am & 12:00pm-3:00pm
  • Tuesday, April 1, 9:00am-3:00pm
  • Wednesday, April 2, 9:00am-11:30am
  • Thursday, April 3, 12:00pm-3:00pm

    SIGN UP also at the Library Counter and Student Affairs Front Desk 2nd Floor of the Campus Center. SIGN UP also on the same day of the event.
