Childhood and Pethood: Representation, Subjectivity, and the Cultural Politics of Power with Dr. Anna Feuerstein and Dr. Carmen Nolte-Odhiambo

Foregrounding the ethical and political implications of the manifold alignments of children and pets in society and culture, UH Mānoa Assistant Professor of English Anna Feuerstein and UH West Oʻahu Assistant Professor of English Carmen Nolte-Odhiambo critically investigate the positioning of these subjects as dependent on and inferior to their adult human counterparts.

Smells Like Stars with Dr. David N. Odhiambo

Assistant Professor of English David N. Odhiambo will discuss his work Smells Like Stars, an existentialist work of magic realism.
