CCB is for you if you're interested in serving on a governing, policy-making board for the programs, services, and facilities of Manoa's college union facility, the Campus Center Complex. The 14-member board serves its constituents - students, faculty, staff, and alumni - in two ways: through a multifaceted activities program via the Activities Council and the Leisure Program and through an array of services in the Campus Center and Hemenway Hall.

Some of the transferable skills you'll acquire through learning how to govern a multi-million dollar complex. . .

  • writing, implementing, and evaluating policies on the use of the facilities, on the programs and services that should be part of what Campus Center offers
  • running meetings and learning to work together
  • assessing student needs
  • leading a group of people in doing committee work
  • identifying and performing the tasks needed to run a service operation
  • examining whether the service operations are fiscally efficient and responding to students' and other campus community members' needs.
Time commitment required: 28hours/month.
