Can I register for
Career Services online?
Registration cannot be
done online at this time. Please drop by our office in the Queen
Lili’uokalani Center for Student Services 212F. As you complete our
registration card, we will also have some handouts and career related
information to provide to you.
I am unable to access the jobs and experiential listing. Can you tell me
what to do?
To
access job and experiential listings, you must be registered with Career
Services and obtain the username and password for the website.
Registration is easy. Visit us at Career Services (QLCSS 212F) to
obtain a registration card. Complete it at your convenience and
return it to our student assistants at the service window.
Are there services provided by Career Services for alumni as well as
graduate students?
As an alumnus or graduate student
at UHM, you have access to the full range of services provided by Career
Services. For details to what is available to you, click on the services,
programs and resources listed in the left sidebar.
How can I get information to the
events that you are planning?
Career Services offers mini fairs, workshops
and other special events throughout the year. Check this website for the
times and dates. For details to these events, click on “Job Skills
Workshops,” “On-Campus Recruitment” or “Special Events” in the left
sidebar. You can also subscribe to Career Services listserv and email
will be sent to you about the events Career Services is hosting.
How can I be included or
removed from the Career Services listserv?
Career Services sends electronic notification of
special events to members who subscribe to our listserv. To subscribe
or unsubscribe:
a. Send an email from
your email account to
careers@hawaii.edu
b. In the text of your
message instruct us as to whether you would like to
subscribe or unsubscribe to our listserv.
I was informed that Career Services is able to house my letters of
recommendation. How can I register for this service?
Original letters of recommendation for graduate/professional school
application or academic employment can be housed at Career Services in a
credential file. Upon your request, copies of these letters can be
forward on your behalf for your application process. Please click on
“CREDENTIAL FILES” in the left side bar for details on establishing a
file.
Our club is interested
in scheduling dates and times for our members to attend workshops. Where
can we get possible dates and times to present to members at
next week's general meeting?
If your organization
would like to schedule an individual workshop, please propose alternative dates
and times and the topic area and Career Services will get back to you.
