Hatha Yoga

This course introduces you to the basic postures of Hatha Yoga, as inspired by the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar of India. Through the practice of yoga postures you will develop: strength, balance, flexibility, stamina, vitality and emotional stability.

Ashtanga Yoga

Cost per session:

Room: Hemenway Hall 208

Ashtanga is an athletic style of Yoga that synchronizes breath and movement.  This course will guide you through a series of poses meant to build strength and flexibility while calming the mind.  Breathe deeply, listen to your body, challenge yourself, and relax into the meditative flow of Yoga practice.  Beginners welcome!

Beginning Hatha Yoga

Room: Hemenway Hall 208

Traditional Indian Sivananda style Hatha Yoga with a focus on the relationship between the mind, body and spirit and an emphasis on relaxation, meditation, and alignment in the asanas (postures). This class is meant for beginners, but will be adjusted to the level of participants.
