Badminton Fundamentals


Instructional Badminton"  --- Work on your badminton stroke.  The course is designed for the beginner as well as veteran players who want to improve their game skills.  Come and join other badminton enthusiast as you learn the game rules, etiquette and strategy.  Equipment provided.  Come and have some fun!!

Class Objectives:

  • Group-oriented lessons to instruct and improve badminton skills and physical stamina.  This class is aimed at:
    • Persons who are interested in learning about badminton, ie. beginners
    • Or players who may or may not have any formal instruction on skills and strategy and have not played a basic game of badminton with appropriate movement and shots
    • Note:  players who know how to play indoor badminton should not take this course since it is geared to teaching basic strokes and rules of play
    • Students should have good cardiovascular health as this course does have a high level of physical exercises
    • Cost per 2nd session:

Badminton Technique Training

Prerequisite:  Badminton Fundamentals Class or equivalent demonstrated skill

Class Objectives:

  • Group-oriented lessons to improve badminton skills and physical stamina.  This class is aimed at:
    • Persons who have played indoor badminton, and
    • Players who can hit the following shots (at least 4 of the 6 shots):  1. high clear, 2. smash, 3. drop, 4. drive, 5. hair pin (close net shot),  6. smash block will benefit from this course.  If the student does not have these basic shots, the Badminton Fundamental course is recommended. 
    • Note:  players who do not know how to play indoor badminton should not take this course
    • Students should have good cardiovascular health as this course does have a high level of physical exercises
