HONOLULU — Fashion technology students at Honolulu Community College will present "wearable forms of art" at their annual fashion show, 11:30 — 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2005, at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, Coral Ballroom. The event showcases the school‘s top-notch fashion technology program and its talented up and coming student designers.

This year‘s fashion show is themed, "Red Carpet," and will highlight four collections: Undercover (swimwear and bustier); After Party (cocktail and party); Bazaar (creative wear); and Spotlight (graduating seniors). The event will also feature door prize giveaways and various boutique stores that will sell their items.

"We encourage everyone to come out and support our program," said Kate Brown, HCC Fashion Society President. "We‘ve worked hard to put together this student production; everything from staging and lighting to food and marketing, we‘re doing it all."

Tickets to the event are $30 and include lunch. They can be purchased starting on April 15 through the day of the event by calling Joy Nagaue at 845-9203. Proceeds will go towards the production of the event.

Last year‘s fashion show, "International Affair," featured black, white and colorful décor and drew close to 300 attendees.
