Guam Chamorros celebrate "Southern Fiesta"

This year is the 4th Annual San Dimas fiesta held by the Chamorro community from Malesso', Guam. This year the fiesta is an even bigger event with the inclusion of two other villages: Inarajan and Malojloj, whose patron saints are San Jose and San Isidro, respectively. The addition of the two other villages is why the celebration was called "Southern Fiesta." The fiestas for the saints are held in May on Guam. The fiesta here in Hawaii was held at the Arizona Memorial Park on May 7.

Other celebrations here in Hawaii include the upcoming Liberation Day get-together at Halawa Park in Aiea and the Hafa Adai Club of Pearl Harbor's 3rd Annual Liberation Day dinner banquet at Schofield. Both events happen on July 16. The get-together begins at 12 noon and the dinner banquet is at 6 pm. The cost for the dinner banquet is $30 per ticket.
