The University of Hawai‘i
at Manoa provides early childhood education and care that
meets the needs and development of young children.
The University of Hawai‘i at Manoa Children’s
Center is administered by the Office of Student Affairs. The
Children’s Center is supported by child tuition fees
and state funds. The University provides facilities, utilities,
and maintenance service at no cost to the program.
The Children's Center is licensed by the State of Hawai‘i
and accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood
Programs, the credentialing body of the National
Association for the Education of Young Children. Accreditation
marks the Children's Center as a high quality program meeting
national standards of excellence in program practice, teacher
qualifications, and child health and safety.
