Through the support of the Japan Studies Endowment and the National Resource Studies Grant the UHM library has purchased several new films of possible interest to the CJS community in Honolulu. Please follow the link below to find the PDF containing a complete list of the new films.

The Ehime Summer interns recently met with the Governor and Vice Governor of Ehime Prefecture. Seen in the photo below with the Ehime Interns is the current Vice Governor of Ehime Prefecture. The Vice Governor’s lei was made from Azazel flowers the interns picked (with proper permission of course!).
The UH System website has a press release on Chancellor Hinshaw and CJS Director Huey’s recent trip to Japan and Okinawa. While at the University of the Ryukyus in Okinawa both Chancellor Hinshaw and Dr. Huey received honorary degrees from the university.
