Alumnus news: David Nguyen


We are delighted to share good news on UHM alumnus David Nguyen (BA, Political Science; MA, Geography) and 2014 Monbukagakusho graduate research award recipient. David will graduate with a Ph.D in Civil Engineering from Tohoku University at the end of September 2017. He received a two-year position at the University of Tokyo, through the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).

EPIC Interns Arrive in Ehime

This summer’s EPIC Interns – Ms. Kara Nakagawa (BA, Japanese and Psychology double major) and Ms. Courtney Choy (BBA, Marketing, Management, and International Business, triple major) – arrived in Matsuyama last week. Kara and Courtney will spend the summer in Ehime helping to further strengthenĀ Ehime-Hawaii relationship through cross-cultural seminars and other related programs. We hope they have fun this summer!
