New JET Teachers from Hawai’i to Japan

The government of Japan has selected nineteen recent college graduates from Hawai’i to serve on the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program (JET).  Many of the new teachers are from the University of Hawai’i.  They will teach in Okinawa, Fukuoka, and many other prefectures.  Consul General Kamo spoke to new JET, former JET returnees, and supporters at the Consulate on August 3, the day before the group’s flight to Tokyo.
