Cost to Participate
The pursuit of a Master’s Degree is a major commitment. However, the investment is probably more affordable than you might imagine—especially for participants outside of Hawai‘i. In order to help you better plan, a rough budget is included here. Note that the figures presented are intended only as a guide for planning and do not represent a 'packaged' program cost. Fees are paid on a semester-by-semester basis.
Remember that Hawai‘i has seven major islands and many unique sights. If you would like to visit other islands or plan any special activities, you'll need to consider those additional costs in your own budgeting.
Please note that your travel to Hawai‘i is not arranged through the University. The airfare costs are not listed here since air travel costs change so frequently. Check with your local travel agent or airlines for the best fares.
Suggested Computer Equipment
During the periods away from the UH campus, students interact through the internet and worldwide web with instructors and each other. To participate, students must have access to an IBM compatible or Macintosh system with Internet access via modem, cable or DSL to a commercially operated server.
