Electronic Application Information

To Apply

Applications should be submitted online. They are available on the UH Graduate Division Web site: www.hawaii.edu/graduatestudies/

Instructions for filling out the electronic application:

1. Open the Graduate Division Web site. Select ‘prospective student’ if you are not currently enrolled.
2. Click ‘enter’ on the next page.
3. On the next page select ‘admissions,’ then select ‘online application’.
4. Fill in the numerals 586 in the drop down box in the area Major Program of Study in the section Summary of College/University Attendance.
5. The application is on pages A1 and A2. Fill in and submit both of these pages electronically. After submitting your application on-line, you can review your application by logging back in and clicking on previously submitted applications. From this point, the entire application can be reviewed by scrolling through it. Please print the application at this point and mail a copy to the Summer Master’s Program Chair with the Graduate Program Supplemental Information Form and Statement of Objectives (see no. 6 below). You will not be able to electronically transmit pages B1, B2, C1, C2, D1, and D2. Note: the Statement of Objectives is an important part of the application. It should include long range professional goals and your teaching/administrative experience.
6. Download and complete the Graduate Program Supplemental Information Form, p. B1 (previously ‘Express Form’); and p. B2 = Statement of Objectives. Mail the completed Supplemental Information Form and Statement of Objectives directly to:

   Honolulu, HI 96822
   Please do NOT mail copies of the Graduate Program Supplemental Information Form and Statement of Objectives (pp. B1, B2) to the Graduate Division.

7. Download and complete the Graduate Division Residency Declaration Form (pp. C1, C2), if you claim Hawai‘i state residency, statutory residency, or are in the military or a dependent. Sign this form and mail it directly to the Graduate Division (address listed below). (This form cannot be completed on-line because of the required signature).
8. Download and complete the Confidential Financial Statement for International Applicants (pp. D1, D2) if applicable. Sign this form and mail it directly to the Graduate Division. (This form cannot be completed on-line because of the required signature).

NOTE: Please print EDEF Summer Master’s clearly on the top of pages BI/B2. Highlight or underline the words with a colored pen or pencil. This will help to ensure your application is received by the correct department.

Credit card payments are accepted online.
