Prepare for Private School Leadership in the Pacific Basin through your Master’s Degree in Education—a collaboration of the Hawai‘i Association of Independent Schools and the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa
Pursue your degree in a cohort of scholars and professionals from other private, independent schools. A cohort of 25 students will complete work in residence for two consecutive summer terms, each six weeks, and engage in fieldwork during the intervening semesters at their home schools.
A challenging curriculum that emphasizes private, independent school issues, cultural and multicultural awareness and diversity and the art of leadership within the context of a school community.
Excellent faculty combining the talents of University of Hawai‘i instructors experienced in the leadership of private independent schools will join students in a community that invites intellectual stimulation and social fellowship.
A wide variety of interactive teaching formats and methodologies designed to engage and challenge the experienced adult learner. Distance learning technologies will facilitate learning during off-site periods.
Guest lecturers, informal discussion sessions and the atmosphere of collaboration augment formal instruction and produce lasting networks of professionals throughout the region.
