Applying To Educational Psychology Graduate Programs

The members of the Graduate Faculty of the Department of Educational Psychology supervise programs of study leading to the Master of Education (MEd) and the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees in the areas of human learning, development, and cognition; and measurement, research methods, and statistics. How to Apply to the MEd Program

To apply to the MEd Program, prospective students must submit all of the following to the appropriate office prior to February 1 (for fall admission) or September 1 (for spring admission). Applications from foreign students have a deadline of January 15 and August 1 for fall and spring admission, respectively.

  2. Transcripts of all prior coursework
  3. For non-native speakers of English, a minimum TOEFL score of 600/250 unless waived in accordance with Graduate Division guidelines

  2. Three recommendation forms attesting to academic and professional strength (academic recommendations are preferred)

Financial support for graduate study is limited. Students who are not awarded tuition waivers, fellowships, or assistantships are usually able to find employment in areas related to their training. All new and current students are eligible to apply for tuition waivers and the Pacific Asian Scholarship. (Tuition waiver information from Grad. Div.)
