Teach the Dream will be an academic subject certification program which is presently in development.  At this time, the ITE 360 special course within the Get FIT program will serve as the Core course.

The general scope of the certificate will be as follows:  Students begin by taking a *Core course* on multicultural education, curriculum and pedagogy focused on teaching about and to particular ethnic and cultural group.  Prior or during this time, students must complete any two *undergraduate* *courses* related to ethnic specialization studies.  Students then take a *Field experience course* where they are placed in teams of three to complete their practicum of teaching ethnic history and culture in middle-level social studies classes.  Students conclude their experience with an *Independent Study course* where they complete and present a capstone project relevant to their major.
