Office of Research Services
The Office of Research Services must approve all grant proposals, contracts, MOAs, and MOUs, and sign off before they can be submitted. They generally reserve the right to actually submit electronic proposals to the funding agency. Proposals should reach them in the proper format, with a form 5 attached on the cover (in color) with signatures of the PI, Department/Unit head, fiscal officer, and Associate Dean for Research. The ORS keeps a file of all grants, and reserves the right to control the flow of all official documents between the P.I. and the funding agency. They may also get involved if any problems are evident with the processing or management of any particular funded project.
