Functions

• Reviews proposals for College course additions or deletions, for the establishment of new programs or the disestablishment of old programs, or for major changes in existing College courses or programs.
• Develops or assists in periodic reviews and evaluations of existing programs and curricula.
• Recommends the appointment of ad hoc committees to carry out such reviews and evaluations.
• Examines and refines academic goals and standards, professional ethics and policies reflecting such goals and standards.
• Suggests ways of improving faculty performance.
