Aloha and welcome to the University of Hawai‘i College of Education
In the College of Education, we are committed to using innovative and cutting-edge research and teaching to further the field of education and to prepare educators to contribute to a just and democratic society. We serve over 1,500 students on O‘ahu, on the other Hawaiian islands, and on islands across the Pacific in baccalaureate, post-baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral programs as well as serving many more students through non-degree oriented professional development opportunities. We have programs in elementary education, secondary education, early childhood education, Hawaiian education, special education, physical education, kinesiology, counseling and guidance, curriculum studies, educational administration, educational psychology, educational technology, educational foundations, and more. In addition our Center on Disability Studies (CDS) and our Curriculum Research and Development Group (CRDG) conduct a wide range of research and development projects targeted to improving education in Hawai‘i and across the Pacific.
The College of Education is nationally accredited and is ranked among the top one hundred graduate schools of education in U.S. News and World Report. We are committed to serving our state and to positively influencing the future.
