Target High Schools

Hui Manawa Kūpono will focus primarily on the following target public high schools and Hawaiian Language and Culture-Based Charter and Immersion Schools.

On Oʻahu, these schools include:

• Ānuenue
• Hālau Kū Māna
• Hakipuʻu Learning Center
• Hālau Lōkahi
• Ke Kula ʻO Samuel M. Kamakau
• Waiʻanae High School
• Nānākuli High School
• Kailua High School
• Castle High School
• Kahuku High School

Two target schools in the Maui school district include:

• Molokaʻi High School
• Hana High School

Scholar to Scholar Days

Potential Hui Manawa Kūpono recipients from target high schools are invited to come and experience everything Mānoa has to offer. Project coordinators, current Hui Manawa Kūpono students who are alumni of target high schools, and various campus service providers collaborate to host University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Campus Tours tailored to each school's needs.
