Belinda Findlay-Weepu

Belinda Findlay-Weepu is the Culture Moves! conference administrator as well as the programme coordinator for the University Preparation Programme at Victoria University. She graduated from Victoria University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Pacific studies and education. Belinda has a special interest in supporting Māori and Pacific students on the University Preparation Programme.

Belinda's mother, Rosaline, was a professional Polynesian dancer in New Zealand during the 70s and 80s, using the stage name 'Losa.'  As a child, Belinda spent many happy hours dressing up in her mother's stage hula dresses and trying to emulate her mother's skills at spinning the knifes and fire sticks in the back yard.

Belinda has two beautiful children, Joshua and Tiana, and a big handsome husband, Billy. Belinda's dream is to make a documentary film on Samoan women.
