Christchurch (NZ) b-boy crew Common Ground have been performing publicly since 2002. The core crew consists of ten b-boys of different ethnicities with the common aim to spread the love of b-boying within the Christchurch area. They have successfully held their ground within the competitive local and national b-boy scene, gaining respect throughout the thriving Aotearoa hiphop community. In 2004, they represented New Zealand internationally at the world championship event, Battle Of The Year, held in Germany. They regularly battle at the national annual b-boy event, BodyRock, placing in top positions as a crew as well as scoring successes in individual skill competitions (crew member Leerok took out the Best Footwork competition earlier this year). This is just a small portion of what Common Ground has to offer.
Common Ground members performing at "Culture Moves!" will include b-boys Grub D, Leerok, Indo, Double Ooh, Gosh, and a special guest appearance by b-girl Lils 3000. See ya'll in Welli in November! Peace.
