I was born in New Plymouth in 1981 and was introduced to HipHop and "Breakdance" around '85-'86. I began as an artist selling paintings and doing commercial art in 1996 before returning to my interest in dance in 1997. After moving to Wellington in 2001, I joined Time Bandits Crew (Wellington) and was introduced to the New Zealand HipHop scene. In 2002 after attending Suga Pop's Funkstyles workshops in Wellington I began to study Boogaloo and Locking (collectively known as Funkstyles). Since this time I have dedicated myself to understanding the context of Locking, Boogaloo, and B-Boying.

I have performed in a number of shows and events across New Zealand and Australia including: Body Rock (Wellington, NZ), Aotearoa HipHop Summit (Auckland, NZ), Step Up (Christchuch, NZ), DanceKool Grand Champs (Sydney, Aust.), Perth Telethon '04 (Perth, Aust.) as well as other TV and magazine appearances.

For the past year I have been teaching dance classes in Australia at King Street arts centre and The Dance Worshop (Perth) and also at Dance Kool studios (Sydney), passing on what I have learned about Funkstyles and B-Boying. I continue to study the arts and perform as a solo artist and with my crew Star Connection.
