Yukie Shiroma
Yukie Shiroma is a third-generation Okinawan-American, born in Hawai'i. After receiving an MFA in dance from the University of Hawai'i in 1987, she started the dance program at the Mid-Pacific Institute, where she is currently Dance Director. She is codirector of Monkey Waterfall, a dance theatre company working with masks, puppets, and stilts. She has studied classical Okinawan dance and theatre for over twenty-five years.
