The center sponsors a twice-monthly noontime
seminar
series during the spring and fall semesters. The seminars,
which are
often cosponsored with the East-West Center Pacific Islands Development
Program as well as other units on campus, feature visiting dignitaries
and academics; University of Hawai‘i
faculty and graduate students; Pacific writers, artists, and filmmakers;
and others whose work is focused on the Pacific. The topics are wide-ranging
and attract a varied audience from on and off campus. To be placed
on the mailing list for upcoming seminars, please telephone the center
at 808-956-7700 or e-mail cpis@hawaii.edu.
