The Pacific Islands Monograph Series (PIMS), launched
in 1983, publishes scholarly works in the humanities and social sciences.
Twenty-one titles have appeared so far, and three more are currently
in preparation; see list
of all PIMS titles. In addition, a special publication of the
center, The
Pacific Way: A Memoir, by Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara (1997),
was jointly published with the East-West Center’s Pacific Islands
Development Program and the University of Hawai‘i Press.
