Dr. Patricio “Jojo” Abinales will give a presentation on Filipinas and ISIS for the FAUW (Filipino Association of University Women) at Max’s Dillingham branch on July 15, 2017 at 1:30pm. Please come and join the forum! ISIS is allegedly present in the Philippines through Islamic militant groups such as the Maute brothers and their gang, and the Abu Sayyaf group. Both are now embroiled in a war in Marawi City.

Join us in the discussion! This topic is very timely since the Marawi crisis began on May 23, 2017 and is still raging. More than 500 lives perished on both sides – ISIS represented by the Maute brothers with participation from ASG, the military, and civilians.
