The island state of Hawaii is the 50th state of U.S.A. It consists of eight islands, the most populous being
the island of Oahu, where the state capital, Honolulu, and famed Waikiki Beach are located. The biggest of these islands is named "Hawaii," but to locals it is
better known as the "Big Island." The smallest island, Kahoolawe, is not inhabited as it was used as a training ground by
the US navy for target practice shooting before it was turned over to the state in 2003.
