The University offers basic, intermediate and advanced instruction in the Cantonese, Mandarin and Indonesian languages. Instruction in Malay is available on ad hoc basis. The University's Department of Indo-Pacific Languages also offers distance learning in Indonesian.

The University of Hawaii at Manoa offers a student exchange program with the National University of Singapore! The School of Travel and Industry Management is affiliated with Temasek Polytechnic University in Singapore.
UH and NUS Team Up for the Pacific Institute of Nursing Conference
The University of Hawaii School of Nursing and Dental Hygiene (UHSONDH) and the Alice Lee Center for Nursing at the National Univeristy of Singapore are sponsoring the Pacific Institute Nursing Conference in Honolulu in March 2009.
The profession of Nursing is dedicated to improving health for individuals and communities through the provision of evidence-based, safe, and quality health care. Nurses in Hawaii stand at the gateway between East and West and as such, are prepared to address cross cultural issues and trends impacting health in resource enriched and constrained settings.
Master of Science (M.S.) Degree Program in Singapore
The School of Travel Industry Management at the University of Hawaii launched a Master of Science degree program in Singapore in February 2006.
