Keiko
Konoeda received her M.A. degree in English as a Second Language in Second
Language Studies from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Before coming
to Hawaii, she worked as an English teacher in a secondary school in
Tokyo, Japan for five years upon graduating from University of Tokyo
(B.A. in English Linguistics). Keiko joined the CSLR in September 2004
as an administrative graduate assistant. In Fall 2005, she started teaching
an undergraduate course (SLS 480P Second Language Pedagogies: L2 Academic
Literacies) and advising students in the CLEAR Program. Her professional
interests include heritage/foreign language education, technology-mediated
language learning, language program assessment, and language teacher
education.
