Kelly
McClanahan received her M.A. degree in Second Language Studies from the
University of Hawai`i at Manoa. Before coming to Hawai`i, she worked
as Assistant Director of the Writing Center at New College of Florida,
where she graduated with a B.A. in Hispanic Language and Cultures. In
addition to co-teaching a Bilingual Studies seminar in the CLEAR program,
she has taught courses in the English Language Institute and Hawai`i
English Language Program. Her professional interests include academic
literacies, critical pedagogy, writing and identity, and language teacher
development.
