Rannik has an M.A. degree in Second Language Studies
(SLS) in the Department of SLS at the University of Hawaii. Before coming
to Hawaii, she received a Vocational Master’s Degree in Conference
Interpretation and worked as a freelance interpreter in Estonia. She
taught English as a Foreign Language for two and a half years while completing
her B.A. in English Language and Literature at the University of Tartu,
Estonia. She is currently working as a Graduate Assistant at the CSLR.
Her interests include academic discourse socialization, second language
writing, New Literacies Studies, and second/foreign language teaching
in general. She is also a Fulbright scholar and a recipient of Alpha
Delta Kappa International Teacher Education scholarship.
