Get Involved with the Student Performance-Based Assessments
Pathway Advisory Council (PAC) Members:
- Provide advice in the development and or improvement of pathway initiatives.
- Provide pathway and industry-specific expertise in the review and approval of standards and assessments.
- Create, support and/or promote pathway initiatives.
- Create linkages between education and industry.
- Commit to long-term service for a pathway.
Program of Study Workgroup Members:
- Provide pathway and course content specific expertise in the development and approval of standards and assessments.
- Create linkages between education and industry.
- Commit to short-term service for a pathway.
Pathway Partners:
Performance-Based Assessments—
- Assist in the creation of problem-based scenarios to assess student learning as it relates to the achievement of pathway standards.
- Participate in the implementation of performance-based assessments.
- Commit to two-three months of planning and two-day on-site implementation.
Other Opportunities--
- Provide internships for students and/or teachers.
- Participate as a mentor for students.
Content Trainers/Guest Speakers
- Provide occupation-specific information and technical expertise to teachers and/or students aligned to pathway standards and benchmarks.
- Commitment is based on availability and training needs.
Judges:
- Participate in reviewing and scoring of performance-based assessments.
- Commitment is for a one or two-day event.
Sponsors:
- Provide resources to support Career Pathway system initiatives.
- Provide resources to support Career Pathway performance-based assessments.
